Our team are offering short welfare phone calls to anyone over 16 in Stratford-on-Avon District or Warwick District feeling lonely, isolated, low, anxious about COVID-19 or are in need of a friendly listening ear through the months of November and December.

Wellbeing Hubs provide low level/early support services aiming to enhance the mental health and wellbeing of individuals aged 16 years and above, and supports people with on-going mental health issues living in Warwickshire.

 

 

Wellbeing for Warwickshire staff promote the Five Ways to Wellbeing, a Public Health Warwickshire campaign. 

The Five Ways to Wellbeing are a set of evidence based actions which promote peoples’ wellbeing. These are:

  • Connect
  • Be active
  • Take notice
  • Keep learning
  • Give 

One to one

One to one support is for anyone experiencing a time of increased emotional distress and have the need for support to help identify & address the causes of the distress. This is offered in different ways: Pathfinder offers sessions that help to learn how to problem solve, learn new self-help techniques, develop an action plan and practise and reflect. While GROW is a higher level of support assisting the personal Journey of mental ill health and encourages people to build on their resilience, identify their goals, interests, and aspirations, exploring options to move forward and to enjoy personal growth.

 

Peer Led Drop-ins

The peer led drop-in groups encourage individuals to foster networks of support, grow confidence, motivate, develop new strategies, skills and knowledge to build resilience, and partake in activities that are both mentally and physically stimulating. These are supported by trained volunteers and peer leaders with lived experience of mental health issues.

 

Walk Ins

The walk in’s offer information & signposting at a relaxed, informal environment where individuals can drop-in to pick up information materials, have a one off 20 minute session or access information relevant to the individuals needs.

 

Workshops

These are part of our peer led drop-ins, walk-ins and outreach, and will be tailored to the needs of the community. They offer groups of up to 15 people in our local communities including carers and those at risk of developing and with mental ill health and/or low mental wellbeing the opportunity to take part and learn more ways to manage their own mental and physical wellbeing. These workshops focus on the 5 Ways to Wellbeing.
